Age of War is Louissi's 2007 base-defense strategy game. You spend XP to spawn units, defend a turret, and evolve through ages from stone tools to futuristic armor.
It is a lane, not a map editor. Both sides walk the same ground. Specials and turrets matter as much as spamming the cheapest unit. Age of War 2 later added more control; this first game is the blunt original that lived on Armor Games and school proxies.
Age of War's loop is tiny and addictive:
- Single-lane unit production
- Age evolution that upgrades the turret and unit roster
- XP from kills spent on spawn buttons and specials
- A boss/super unit when you can afford the panic button
If you want towers on a track, Bloons is the other direction. Age of War is two turrets arguing across a dirt path.
How to Play Age of War
Collect XP automatically as units fight. Click unit buttons from cheap to expensive. Press the evolve button when you can pay, because later ages crush earlier ones. Use the turret special when a clump reaches your base. Do not evolve so broke that you cannot spawn a meat shield.
